This Is Not The Kind Of The World I would Like To Live In(PART 2)

…… In the eyes of Islam every person is equal and everyone has equal rights to seek redress through a court of law. Everyone has equal rights to protection of life, property and honor.  Islam proclaims equal treatment in law irrespective of one’s status or position in life. This Islamic thought was once challenged in 680AD by Yazeed s/o Ameer Muawiya. Yazeed had established a tyrannical rule and demolished all Islamic Principles, thus presenting a serious threat to the very Islam’s existence.

Hazrat Hussain (RA) risked his life to stand up against this corrupt system established by the Enemy of Islam.

He clarifies his stand through  his speeches. While addressing his companions in one of his speeches, which he delivered at Karbala (the Place where the battle between the good and evil was fought), he said:

“The situation which you are facing is obvious. No doubt the color of the World has changed, and good has been expelled from it. There is nothing left inside, expect of a small quantity of water, which usually remains in the bowl after it is emptied. A low-grade life like a poisonous grass. Don't you see, that  the right is not being acted upon and separation is not adopted from the wrong?  In such a situation, a Muslim, only desires but to meet his Lord. For me death as a Martyr is a blessing, and to live amongst the oppressors is a life’s misery.”

By closely studying the life of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), we can conclude that his struggle was against the corrupt system, and strived to protect the precious values of Islam. He gave his life, so that  Islam survives.

Isn’t the  2013’s Pakistan resembles the 680’s Kufa (the city near which Karbala’s strategic event took place) ??.....
